These sound files are in MP3 format, and of various quality,
so that you may choose a file download that best suits your type of connection.
However, I would recommend that you copy the highest quality tracks, as of
course you will get a better idea of the recording quality.
The two tracks here are both from the new 'A Cancerous Society' album, which
is available from this site and most good DIY distros. If your lucky, you
may even find it in some of the better record shops. You will need an MP3
player to listen to these files, if you havn't got one you can get one free
here.
Here also, are just a few of the many excellent reviews the
album has recieved.
TERRORISER #57
These guys are punk as you fucking like - full on, teeth rattling anarcho
punk, to be more precise, with vocals reminiscent of Stig from the late, great
Icons of Filth, and a nice line in raging tuneful rifferama. The production
is superb, crunchin in all the right places, but lending the band a crisp
edge that helps set them above their peers. Witness the dramatic, powerful
intro to 'Minds at War', that literally explodes into the sorta edge-of-the-seat
mayhem that would make the Varukers proud.
What really sets these guys apart though, are all the little guitar embellishments
that add a whole new dimension to even their simplest passages. Some of this
is truly inspired and bodes well for the band, proving they aren't afraid
to experiment with their basic sound. Hell, the bass and toms intro of 'Knowledge
is Power' reminds me of Septic Death, for some reason (no bad thing), and
on 'Disease' they even flirt with some Subhumans style reggae. I like this
a lot; check it out if your that punk way inclined.

SLUG AND LETTUCE #66
This welsh band has been bringing us some really awesome hardcore punk for
a few years now. A couple of 7"s and now a full length of power packed
energetic and straight forward hardcore-punk. In other words serious punk
rock. There are times when the vocals remind me of Watty and the Exploited-
it's the strong accent and the general style but I won't really say that they
sound like the Exploited. This is really good stuff and everything is cool.
Ya know, good heavy, hard driving tempo, lots of energy, catchy punchy beats,
all sorts of mid range (hence the straight forward no gimmick or niche) just
straight up punk fucking rock. Damn fine indeed.
Every time I give them a listen, I think to myself, this is really one of
the best bands outta the UK playing hardcore punk and its good and powerful.

HELL AND DAMNATION
An absolute blazer of a debut full-lengther from these welsh punker! Kicks
off with an instrumental ditty, like the ones G-Anx used to do, then from
then on its full throttle powerful and raging punk. Angry to the core political
lyrics chastised to make you sit up to the injustices that try and make us
remain sedate to the pitfalls of society. The production here is spot on for
this kind of ferocity and you can easily define all the instruments. This
is some of the most powerful and break-neck HC to come outta these shores
(UK) since Ripcord, and it doesn't run amok on the all out thrash attack oral
butchery as say early Extreme Noise Terror. In The Shit have adopted a classic
sound which combines the frantic outbursts that erupted outta the UK/Europe
in the mid 80s, which is a sound which disables the generic UK punk tag that
gets ghettoised to fuck lately.
